There are a lot of different things you need to keep in mind when choosing the perfect tile pattern for your home. We want to share our top 3 tips with you so that you can make an informed decision and choose something that will suit your needs.
CONSIDER THE SIZE OF YOUR ROOM AND HOW MUCH SPACE YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH
The size of the room will determine how many tiles you need to cover it. The larger the area, the more tiles you’ll need, which means that your budget may also increase accordingly. Keep in mind that smaller tile patterns are usually cheaper than large ones because they require fewer materials for production.
For example, if a small area on your floor needs tiling, then an intricate pattern would not be necessary, but rather just one or two simple shapes like squares or diamonds might work best. As long as they still go with the overall theme of the space, this will help in providing stylish coverage at a low cost. Choosing between different sizes comes down to personal preference and what suits your home better, so we recommend looking through samples to get a good idea of what you’re looking for.
LOOK AT WHAT COLORS YOU ARE USING IN THE ROOM AND CHOOSE A TILE PATTERN THAT MATCHES
For example, if you are using an earthy tone like tan or brown, then a pattern with similar hues would be best in order to create unity between the floor and other features of your home. You can also say the same for dark tones: they tend to look nice when paired with darker shades such as navy blue or black.
Keep in mind that there are some patterns that do not go well together, so it’s important to know what you want before making any decisions about tile! (We can help with this.)
THINK ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT A MORE TRADITIONAL LOOK OR SOMETHING MORE MODERN
If you’re looking for a modern look, consider a straight lay pattern. If you want a traditional look, patterns with geometric or minimalist details may be best. If you prefer more of a unique style, consider tiles with mixed shapes and colors, such as those in the Mexican Talavera style. Whichever pattern you end up choosing, it’s important to remember to always think about how the tiles will fit into the room’s total appearance and the entire home as well.
